Email Senator Crawford your support for SB612
Parents, this week the Missouri Senate Government Reform Committee may be voting on Senate Bill 612, which would allow some parent choice regarding Missouri children's education. This bill would allow parents to access dollars to be used toward their child's school tuition, if that is the educational avenue parents believe is the best for their child.
Would you please consider emailing Senator Sandy Crawford to let her know you are PRO SENATE BILL 612, and ask her to support it as she represents you?
Your email should be short and to the point. She needs to hear from "regular people" like us! Her email is Sandy.firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do so today if possible. Thank you!

SEE YOU AT THE POLE 2017
El Dorado Christian School student body gathered together at the ECS flagpole to celebrate, “See You At The Pole” 2017, on Wednesday, September 27. The national SYATP theme was taken from Hebrews 12, verse 2. “ Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Pastor Kenny Batson, of Grace Fellowship Church, delivered the morning message.
“See You at The Pole, the global day of student prayer, began in the 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.
See You at The Pole is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at The Pole is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.” Quote is from the official SYATP website, www.SYATP.com Pictured, seniors, Seth McKinney and Abigail Batson singing at the 2017 SYATP event.

Hurricane Relief Hygiene Kits...77
If you look closely, hidden between the smiles and happy hearts, there are 77 Hygiene Relief Kits for Hurricane victims in the states of Texas and Florida. The students at El Dorado Christian set a goal of 40 kits, but, the ECS families rallied together and donated enough items to almost double the goal! ECHS teacher, Mrs. Patty King brought this idea to the teachers and Mrs. Becky LeeMasters set it into motion. Letters were sent home and parents responded with giving hearts. Each Hygiene Kit contains; shampoo, towels, soap, toothpaste, tooth brush, deodorant, and many other items. The kits were assembled by the entire student body and packed to be delivered to the Convoy of Hope Organization in Springfield, Missouri. To date, the organization itself has sent over 90 trailer truck loads to Florida and Texas to help those in need from the destructive hurricanes, Harvey and Irma. The Convoy of Hope Organization will accept donations until September 30, 2017. Additional information can be found on their website at www.convoyofhope.org. El Dorado Christian School thanks God for the many blessings that He has bestowed upon our school and families, and are grateful for the opportunity to practically demonstrate what it means to share with those in need. God is Good!
